Easter Gardens

As our churches are closed at this time, our usual practice of decorating our places of worship with Easter gardens has broken out and spread to people's homes! Here are some photos sent in to the Rector's Ramblings email news during the last week. Thanks to everyone who sent these pictures - it's wonderful to see such fantastic creativity going on all over the place!

Home-Made Palm Crosses

This year, because we weren't able to hand out Palm Crosses at church, people made their own - here's a selection of pictures sent in! Fantastic creativity shown here from all ages - and every parish. Well done everyone!

Holy Week 2020

Holy Week 2020 Day by day through Holy Week we have Bible readings to help us prepare for Easter, along with poems by Malcolm Guite. You can find more from Malcolm on his blog, malcolmguite.wordpress.com . The poems are also available in Sounding the Seasons; Seventy Sonnets for the Christian Year, published by Canterbury Press. Monday Luke 19.41-44 Jesus Weeps Jesus comes near and he beholds the city And looks on us with tears in his eyes, And wells of mercy, streams of love and pity Flow from the fountain whence all things arise. He loved us into life and longs to gather And meet with his beloved face to face How often has he called, a careful mother, And wept for our refusals of his grace
