Maundy Thursday at Windsor

One of our parishioners from Tackley, Margaret Lindley, was honoured to receive the Maundy Money this year at Windsor from the Prince of Wales.

96 men and 96 women received the token Maundy purses from Prince Charles, who stood in for the Queen at the service. Margaret was nominated for her service and kindness in our community.

Churchwarden Janet Maybank accompanied Margaret to the event at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

All of us in Tackley are delighted that Margaret's selfless service across so many years has been recognised in this small but significant way, on a day that is all about thinking of others and showing love when it counts.
